Greenwood Airport Day, Sat 8/4, 10am-4pm, Greenwood, IN

Hi everyone,

Greenwood Airport day is fast approaching.  August 4th, a Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm.  I have mentioned this event in previous emails and at the last couple of meetings.  Airport day actually runs from Wed 8/1 thru Sat. 8/4 but we will have a tent/booth on Saturday only.  This is a great way to give our club and our hobby some exposure and publicity.

We are needing able bodies to man our tent/booth.  We will be passing out literature I received from the AMA and answering questions.  I will also have our Club information available too.  We all need to bring r/c airplanes and other r/c aircraft for display.  Flying demonstrations can be given with small aircraft in a designated area.

For setup we need some pop-up tents.  There is room for four, two in the front with two behind them.  I will be bringing a couple of fold-up conference tables and 4 folding chairs and 1 tent.  If I have room I will include some aircraft.

Indy RC Booth (located next to office on the office's eastside)

Need volunteers for these time slots.  I will be there all day.  Also need pilots for flight demonstrations.

>Below are the Booth time slots.  Please let me know what time you can man the booth and what you will be bringing.  Parking information is listed below.  I thank you for your help.  Scheduled times are short leaving you plenty of time to see the show.  Once again, I will be there all day.  Please let me know of any questions you might have.

Saturday, August 4th:
            Setup at 9:15 am
            10:00-12:00   
            12:00-1:30   
            1:30-3:00   
            Take down at 3:00 pm

Here additional information I received earlier:

1. Yes, we do have an area reserved for your club and if you want to come by the airport and see where it is that would be great. the area will be marked for you.

2. We would like to see flight demos, but they must be limited to a specified height.

3. Pop up tent and chairs are welcomed

4. We will let you park inside the fenced area, but not near your area. You can bring your cars to your area to unload, then we can show you where to park.

5. Yes we are developing the map now and will have one ready for you next week.  *to date, I have not received it.

The 2018 Airport Day at the Indy South Greenwood Airport will feature our P-51C Mustang and RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit. The event will also feature free Young Eagle Flights for kids (register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/airport-day-young-eagle-flights-tickets-35673393079), a military simulator, and other hands-on displays from Greenwood's Police and Fire Departments. Just PLANE Fun is one of the community's most popular annual events, and we are excited to be a part of this year's celebration!

Please note!!! Setup has to be at 8:30 am. 
So for those planning on doing setup,  it means an earlier start time.
