Received the following from Ken Erickson (Bartholomew Co RC):
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guys,

Attached are the documents which make up the rules and hints on how to run race.  There is also an explanation of the changes for 2013.

If you go to www.rcpro.org and then click on "Forums", you will see a forum for RCPRO Club 40.  Click on it and you will see a thread called: "First thread for South-Central Indiana".  You can also create new threads, if you want to discuss something different from what is in an existing thread.

That last one is not just for Indiana, it is the National Rule, I just had that name on it, for some unknown reason.

Welcome to the guys from around Elizabethtown, KY.  We are not sure whether we will all be in the same circuit, or if the distance will dictate that there are 2 circuits.

The races, which are currently scheduled and voted on by the clubs, are:

RCPRO Club 40 & Club 40 Sport Pylon Racing
May 11th        Club 40 Sport          Seymour
Jun 1st           Club 40 Sport          BCRCF
Jun 22nd        Club 40 Sport          Monroe County
Jul 13th          Club 40 Sport          Seymour
Aug 3rd          Club 40 Sport          BCRCF
Aug 24th        Club 40 Sport          Seymour
Sep 14th        Club 40 Sport          BCRCF
Oct 5th           Club 40 Sport          Seymour

We will keep you informed of anything planned in KY

I have airplanes, engines, parts and supplies.

In the future, I will use the Forum on RCPRO.org.
I will send you a note after posting there, but encourage you all to use it and check it often.

Update on 9/14 event from Ken Erickson:

We will raffle a gallon of fuel, Wildcat 15%, one ticket to each helper.   We need 2 Cut Judges, a Starter and Assistant Starter, a Scorekeeper and a Cook.  This week we will have Hamburgers!!!!!

If there are enough volunteers to help, we will use some as Lap Counters, otherwise the pilots will count the laps and use the stopwatches.

All accepted helpers will receive a meal ticket and a ticket for the fuel raffle.  There will be no tickets sold.  The only way to get one will be to help.

The times for registering and racing are somewhat later than some days in the past.

In order to be ready , we will be registering until 10:15.  Pilot meeting at 10:30 and the racing to start at 11:00.

The guys from the Monroe County Club are coming.

Justin says he will be here.

Kentucky guys, are you in???  There have been several who have written that they will be out of town on family activities and one who has to work.

Come on, guys, the more racers, the more fun!!!!!!!

Ken

Update on 10/5 event from Ken Erickson:
----------------------------------------------------

The last race of the season is one week away.   It is at the Southern Indiana Flying Eagles field on the grounds of Freeman Field west of Seymour.  If you have not been there, you should come to see the expanse of clear overfly.

There will be Open Flying from the Race Pilot Stations until the Pilot and Helper Meeting.  (The concrete full-scale taxiway has been scraped free of vegetation and folks have been flying from it.)

Registration will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.   Pilot and helper meeting at 1:20.  Then "Picture Taking".   Racing is to start at 2:00.

There will be no use of a computer except to print the matrix and scoring documents.   After that it is all pencil and paper.

Helpers wanted:
2 Cut Judges
Starter
maybe an assistant Starter (uses bull horn to repeat cuts)
Scorekeeper ( to write finish order and times on paper)
Probably 3 Lap Counters to stand behind pilots, count laps and use stop watches.

Each helper will receive a lunch ticket and a ticket for the raffle of a gallon of Wildcat 15% 2 & 4 Cycle Fuel .  In the unlikely chance that we will have more volunteers than we need as helpers, we will draw lots.

Still only $10.00 Pilot Fee, and you get Lunch (or is it a snack?)
