Indy RC South Club Picnic & Olde Tyme Fun Fly, Sun 6/26 @ 1pm

The Picnic will begin at 1pm, and is open to anyone - including non-flyers.  The club will provide the meat (hamburgers/hotdogs/etc) and drinks.  We ask that attendees bring either a covered dish (with food in it) or a dessert.

After everyone has had plenty to eat, then we'll start the Olde Tyme Fun Fly around 3pm.

This will NOT be the same as our normal Fun Fly (Bomb Drop, Limbo, etc.).  We will instead have team events that some might consider silly.  This event will be open to anyone with a current AMA.

The events are for bragging rights only. We will not have prizes for the flying but will have a raffle item of a Hitec Quad 4 Charger.



Event 1

 

Air Mail:  The airmail pilot attaches a "letter" to his plane, takes off, does a loop, roll and then lands.  The mailman (his team mate) retrieves the letter from the plane, after it comes to a stop and hand carries it to the person it is addressed to.  Timer starts on takeoff and stops when letter is delivered.  Shortest time wins.

 

Event 2

 

Oh Crap!:  One team member takes off, and his team mate rolls a pair of dice.  Whatever number is rolled, this same number has to be rolled again before the guy flying can land.  Event is timed from initial dice roll to landing.  Shortest time wins.


Event 3
 

Balloon Bust: Two air balloons placed on the runway. Pilot must break first one then take off perform one loop, one roll then land and break the second one then shut down the motor. Assistant then retrieves the broken balloons and sets to new ones. Time begins when airplane starts rolling. Time ends when this is completed. Shortest time wins!



After the flying is finihsed we will raffle the Hitec Quad 4 Charger

Just heard from Jerry Bunner...

"The weather for Sunday should be okay for the event."
