Indy RC South, 2nd Annual Electric Fly-In - Sat 6/4 @ 8am

Indianapolis R/C South would like to invite you to our 2nd Annual Electric Fly-In to be held on Saturday, June 4th.

The event will run from 8am to Noon.
There will be a $5 landing fee, per pilot.
Current AMA is required to fly at our field.

This will be a Ticket Fly. When you register, you will receive 5 tickets.  Thereafter, each time you fly you will receive an additional ticket.  You will be able to select which pilot prizes you want to put your tickets towards.  

ONLY Electric-Powered aircraft will be allowed to fly during this event!

Directions:  Our field is located on the South side of Indianapolis, near I-65 exit 99 (Greenwood).  When you get off the Interstate, continue East to the first 4-way stop (200E) and turn South.  Head South until the road T’s into 750N.  Turn Left on 750N and proceed East less than a mile, (look for the red gate on the left).  Follow the gravel road up to the top of the hill.

The start time for the Electric Fly-In has moved from 10am to 8am, and will now finish up at Noon.

Was very pleased with the turnout we had for this early morning event.
There were a total of 17 registered pilots, with about 1/3 of these being from other area clubs.

This was the first early morning event I've run - normally I like to sleep in on Saturday.
It was probably a good thing we started early though since by noon it was very hot and windy.

The pilot with the most number of flights this year was Mark Gray, who logged 12 flights.
Ted Brindle was 2nd with 10 flights and Matt Hanley 3rd with 8 flights.
Steve Percifield was the first to fly - he couldn't wait!
