The 15th Annual Indianapolis Air Show will be held beginning Friday, 5/13 thru Sunday, 5/15.

The Blue Angels will return this year!

The Indianapolis Air Show is May 14/15, 2011 and we are planning on having a RC Flying session to start the show from 1100-1130 each day.  This years show looks to have a great lineup of performers including the Blue Angels, F16 Demo team, Red Eagles, and many others.   I know this is busy weekend with the Joe Nall going on that weekend and also the opening of the Indy 500 track.  We will be running 2 flight lines and will need about 6 pilots for each flightline for each for each day.  As several of you know we had to cancel last year because of the weather but we hope this year will be sunny and clear.  In addition we will also have the RC display area again this year.
 
If you would be willing to fly in the show (we don't need any fancy 3D stuff - just safe flying to show off our sport to the public) or display your planes in the RC tent please email or call me ASAP.  For everyone participating I will provide 2 free tickets to the show and special parking passes for each day of your participation.  This is a great way to show off our sport to the public and an opportunity for you to see one of the best air shows in the country for free.

If you haven't heard the good news yet, the 'Blue Angels' at this weeks ICAS convention named the Indianapolis Air Show, their 2011 Air Show of the year.
 
This is a very importation award from the stand point that it shows every other air show act (including the Thunderbirds), every vendor, as well as, any and all organization that participate in air shows, that the place to be, is at the Indianapolis Air Show.  This should make our job of bringing in good act, warbird aircraft and military fly-overs a lot easier.  This is also an achievement for the City of Indianapolis, whereby this award helps promote the city.
 
The award is also a testimony to the 'over and above' hard work that all of you put forth to help make the Blue Angels feel at home and to fulfill their many needs while they were here.  We thank you and we praise you, for with out you, this certainly would not have happen.
