The 2010-2011 Indoor flying season begins at the Anderson Airport Hanger

This is a large facility with plenty of room for flying our indoor electric aircraft.
If the weather is bad we may not be able to use the hanger.
If in doubt or if you want more information call Roger Seward at 765-748-6828

Cost is $15 per session
All sessions are on Saturday from 9am-5pm

Duane Wright had his new Parrot AR Drone at Anderson this past Saturday.
http://ardrone.parrot.com/parrot-ar-drone/usa/support/questions-answers

It is a 4-rotor platform that you can fly with an iPhone.
He let me give it a try, and the controls were very intuitive.

It has two on-board cameras, one facing forward and one straight down.
The image (front or down) is fed back to the phone so you can see what the drone sees.

I was able to fly a little by just looking at the image on the phone and took the following photo!  Smiley

Thanks Bill...

Yes, the 1/15 indoor session has been cancelled.

They will be working in the hangar, so we won't be able to fly.

Things got a little rough at the 26-Feb session...

One of the wayward planes tried to land on one of the pilot's arm.

It's rumored that blood was drawn, but the pilot has made a full recovery!  Smiley
