The first flying event of the year at our field will take place this Sunday (May 2) from 2-5 pm. 
This event is a time for all to have fun flying whatever you bring, while enjoying fellowship with other enthusiasts. 

There will be a $5 landing fee, for which each flyer will receive five raffle tickets. 
Participants will there after receive one ticket for each flight made during the event. 

A number of participant prizes will be grouped together and flyers can place their raffle tickets for the prizes of their choice.  At 5 pm, drawings will take place for these prizes.  In addition, there will be a drawing for a significant item for which both flyers and non-flyers may purchase tickets. 

This annual non-competitive event offers a fun time for all.

Just wanted to mention that this event is open to any local flyer with AMA.

The weather forecast is looking better, with the rains predicted to end in the morning and winds less than 10 mph.

In addition to the pilot prizes (drawn from flight tickets), we will have an Escapade ARF (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVXN8&P=ML) as a separate raffle that anyone can buy raffle tickets for.

Sorry folks, but the weather just isn't going to cooperate.

They are predicting 50-60 percent chance of Thunder Showers during the Ticket Fly.  

Today's Ticket Fly has been cancelled.

Bummer!  40-50% chance it won't rain after 5:PM... but I doubt the access road to the field would be in any condition to drive on
