In the World Championship Air Race the world’s best pilots compete at high speeds, navigating a tricky course made up of tight twists and turns. They have to be precision-perfect as they fly through the air gates taking care not to touch them with their wings or deviate from the course.
Now you can take up the thrilling challenge at the first ever Vincennes RC Mini Air Race. Test your skills and see if you’ve got what it takes to be a Vincennes RC Air Race pilot.
Smoke on!

VIP Vapor rules: How about giving the exciting world of RC racing a try! Bring your stock ParkZone Vapor RTF or BNF aircraft with up to a 140 mAh 3.7V battery. The preliminary rounds will require pilots to fly a oval shaped, two pylon race track pattern; approximately ten laps. Up to four aircraft will fly per heat. Finalists will fly a figure-eight, two pylon course with up to four aircraft at a time.
Time penalties will be given for touching an air gate or other aircraft. Disqualification will be penalized to a pilot that touches the ground or flies over the deadline (pit area and spectators). The winner will be the pilot that completes the race course in the fastest time. A fly-off will be performed in the event of a tie.

Mini Air Race rules: Any flat-foam (3mm suggested) model, with a ready-to-fly weight of 8 ounces. Semi-scale aerobatic models are preferred that resemble the Zivko Edge540 or the MXR Technologies MXS-R.
A Mini Air Race pilot will be required to navigate as quickly as possible through a multi-pylon track without deviating from the course or flying too high. Air gates will be marked as to whether they require a level or knife-edge attitude. Time penalties will be given for flying too high, flying off course, or touching an air gate. Disqualification will be penalized to a pilot that touches the ground or flies over the dead-line (pit area and spectators). The winner will be the pilot that completes the race course in the fastest time. There will be a preliminary and final round. A fly-off will be performed should there be a tie. Smoke on is just an expression.

Freestyle Aerobatics: Open to any aircraft or helicopter that fits the general specification limit. Team flying may also be considered. Beginners are encouraged to try-out the Preliminary Freestyle event.
A Preliminary Freestyle pilot will be required to fly inside a one-minute time frame, to music, an aerobatic routine in a determined area. Music may be provided by the pilot or offered by the master of ceremonies. Disqualification will be penalized to a pilot that touches the ground or flies over the deadline (pit area and spectators). The winner will be determined by popular vote of the audience. The Preliminary contest winner will go on to fly in the Freestyle finals and join the Advanced Freestyle pilots.
Advanced freestyle pilots will be required to perform a two-minute long aerobatic routine to music in a determined area. Disqualification will be penalized to a pilot that touches the ground or flies over the deadline (pit area and spectators). The winner will be determined by popular vote of the audience.

So, what did everyone think of this event?

I'm sure Brittney would appreciate some feedback.
