For about the next 90 days, we will need to access the field via Griffith Road, instead of coming east on Worthsville Road.

Contractors will be closing a portion of Worthsville Road (CR 750N) on or after May 15, 2019. Closure of Worthsville Road will be for approximately 90 days. During this closure period, turns will still be allowed onto and off of CR 250 E to travel southbound or westbound, respectively. Turns will also be allowed onto and off of CR 300 E to travel southbound or eastbound with the exception of a brief 6-day and 30-day closure of the intersection described below.

During this 90-day closure period, the intersection of Worthsville Road and CR 300 E will be closed will be closed for approximately 6 days staring on or around May 20, 2019. This brief intersection closure will allow for crews to safely and effectively complete a critical connection to the sanitary sewer system under the existing roadway. Upon completion of this connection, the intersection will be re-opened to allow northbound traffic on CR 300 E to make right turns (eastbound) onto Worthsville Road.

At a later date within this 90-day closure, the intersection of CR 300 E will be closed to allow crews to remove the existing asphalt pavement and construct the new roadway. This closure is anticipated to be toward the last 30 days of the 90-day period.

In early Fall, Phase 2 of construction will occur between CR 300 E and Hurricane Creek. That segment will be closed for approximately 105 days. During this time the intersection of CR 300 E will be open to traffic.

We ask that you pay attention to construction signage and detour routes in your daily commutes, mapping your routes accordingly. The City will post notifications, when necessary, on their Facebook page. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our City's road network. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the City's Community Development Services Department at (317) 887-5230.

Update from Rick Taylor...

Hi everyone.

Please see attached letter Bob Badger was able to obtain in regards to the road construction presently taking place on Worthsville Road.  There are two phases to the project.

The first phase is currently taking place with work being done West of C.R. 300.  It should be completed in late August.

The second phase will, then, begin East of C.R. 300 and could cause problems for gaining access to our field.

However, Bob did talk to someone and made them aware we needed access, especially in September for our ADA Event.
