Our ADA Airshow is this coming Saturday.   Setup is the day before, Friday from 5 to 7 pm.  Steel posts will need to be driven so a temporary fence can be installed plus a ribbon barrier in what will be the parking area.  After the airshow, everything setup will be taken down.  Help will be needed so plan on staying.  It will not take very long.

For our new members and those unfamiliar with this event, it is an annual club event to raise money for the American Diabetes Association and our club has hosted it for a number of years.  It is a Fly-In and anyone with AMA membership can participate. Members from other clubs are welcome.  Friday’s field setup is done so we can better accommodate high attendance for pilots, volunteers and visitors not to mention raffles, auctions and food areas.  Attached is another copy of the event flyer.

Chuck Baker, the events program coordinator: “Encourages all members to come out and bring something to fly.  We have open flying from 10-noon.  The scheduled part of the day goes from noon to 5 pm.   During the Airshow we will have periods for any size and type of war bird.  We will also have times for jets plus general aviation and any size glider.  Lastly, we need any size or type of sport plane for the glider attack.

Of course we will be needing more volunteers.  Please check with Bob Badger to see where you are needed most.

Thank you for your help in making this the best airshow to date.   See you Friday and Saturday.
