My father got me started with model aviation when I was about 5 years old. I remember sitting at the kitchen table and building my free flight rubber powered airplanes while my dad worked on his control line models. All of this lead to 1/2A and larger control line airplanes and then escapement remote control that worked occasionally, then on to 2,3 channel and full house r/c.

I obtained my private pilots license in 1978. Along the way I joined EAA and started building full scale, the last one in 1994 that was a 7/8 scale WWI Nieuport 11 replica. I actually have a flight check in my logbook in this airplane and flew it for over 100 hours before selling it to a rancher in Arizona.

I never lost interest in model aviation and my current passion is plans built 1/4 scale (and maybe larger) models.

I am married with one daughter who is a junior at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

I am looking forward to serving our club as your Vice President/Secretary and want to thank you for placing this trust in me. You guys and gals are a great group, see ya at the flying field.

I originally became a member of the Indy RC South Club in 1980.  Shortly afterwards I began cutting the runways, laying railroad ties and a little later served as Vice President/Secretary.  In the mid-80s I moved out of state to several locations before returning to Indianapolis, and rejoined Indy RC South in 2005.  As far back as I can remember I've always enjoyed building from scratch, as the most of my airplanes today are scratch-built.  I'm currently completing a twin engine Gemini powered by two 56 Saitos, and a Kaos powered with a 72 Saito.

I retired in 2009, as a Mechanical Engineer from the CSXT Railroad, completing 44 years of service.

I've been married to my wife Evelyn for 42 years and we have two children and six grand children.

I got started in RC in 2007 with a Heli-Max Axe EZ coaxial.  I have added several helicopters and airplanes to my collection since then, everything from a micro Blade MSR up to a 50 size T-REX 600 that flys on an 8 cell 5000mah LiPo, all are electric.

I am interested in gas powered airplanes and nitro powered helicopters.  I may venture into those areas as time and money permits.  I also enjoy flying the small indoor electrics, pylon racing and funflys.

I have been racing bicycles for the last 22 years. I try to get about 5k training miles in each year.  Before that, from about 1982 to 1988, I road raced motorcycles in the 750cc class.

It just so happens I got married to my wife Nancy in 1988.  I have an 18 year old daughter and a 16 year old son.  I have a degree in EET, and have worked in IT for IBM the last 30 years.
