Academy of Model Aeronautics Membership

In order to join Indianapolis R/C South, you must first be a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) - a national modeling organization that charters our club and provides local clubs and their landowners with the proper insurance.

AMA Dues: Being a member of the AMA will provide you with liability and accident/medical insurance and a subscription to Model Aviation magazine. Dues are $58.00 for adults (19 and up), $48.00 for Seniors, and $15.00 for Youths 19 and under ($1.00 without the Model Aviation Magazine subscription). You cannot join a local club unless you are a member of the AMA.

Indianapolis R/C South Membership

Joining our club will provide you access to a frequency-controlled field and qualified flight instructors. Learning to fly with an instructor will help you learn faster, more safely, and will help minimize the possibility of damaging the model - a frustration that we all have experienced to some degree while learning to fly.

Annual Dues Full Membership $60.00 Seniors (65 or older) $48.00 Junior (19 or under) $30.00 Family Membership $90.00 Renewals after December meeting incur $5.00 Late Fee. Memberships accepted after July 1st, ½ price for rest of year. Memberships accepted after October 1st include the following year's membership.
