Got another race in, Sunday August 17th.
It seemed strange with almost no wind

The new pylon markers / Flags that Bob Badger made were hanging limp most of the evening...
In the end, Duane and I tied, despite the fact he snuck by me each race he started. He just failed to start one race. I guess you do get forgetful as you get old... He put a dead battery in his plane

There were very few cuts reported, I was called for a critical cut, which took me from 1st/2nd down to 4th in the 2nd round

But that's racing!
Eric flew a Swift// with us, and was competitive. With a few more sessions and familiarity with the wing, he'll be a force to deal with.
The suggestion was made to hold 'Time Trials' for new guys who want to try the course out, but who are not comfortable flying in the tight pack we sometimes seem to get. It's an interesting proposal, and I'd like to hear some feedback on it from other members:
The pilot would launch, and run a lap or so to get comfortable, then we'd start the clock. We'd clock 3 laps, and use this as the basis for scoring.Again, I'd like to hear some feedback. We'll give it a try next race (September 28), so get your planes ready!
As always, a blast was had by all!
