I'm considering getting some kind of RC Simulator Pgm. Could I get some comments on the value of these and the good ones to buy. I've seen some on E-bay for about 35 bucks. They provide a cable and some software (probably shareware. Will this help me fly better?

This really depends on what you're wanting to work on and what your current skill level is.
You didn't mention in your post if you had already soloed or not.  If you haven't then the simulator will definitely help, especially with working on levelling the wings after a turn when it's coming towards you.

I've been flying since 1986, but I still enjoy using the simulator to keep my thumbs in practice.  It's also good if you want to try something new, but not risk using your real plane.  For example, I've used the simulator to practice hovering - 3D type stuff.  Lots cheaper than tearing up real stuff.  It's also good if you're thinking about getting into helicopters to practice on the sim first.

I'm currently using the Real Flight G3.5 sim, but it's kinda pricey and just under $200.  Can't speak for any of the other sims, but you should be able to find user reviews on RC Universe - www.rcuniverse.com

Good Luck!
