Are you looking for a place to fly your WWI airplanes?
Apparently early bird and WWI enthusiasts are allotted in quantities of 2 or 3 persons per club .... or so it seems. Wouldn't it be great to get together a couple of times a year and savor a whole model airfield full of fabric covered wings, flying wires and round engines! Early birds and the "Dawn Patrol" flying scale models in exactly the way the designers had intended. "Mission Oriented Flying" at its best. Those magnificent men and their flying machines! Can you imagine all of that? What a picture! It could happen, and it is within our grasp.
The goal of R/C Dawn Patrol is to organize the interest in Vintage and WW1 aircraft and Mission Oriented Flying. We have developed a network of contacts in our region. A Dawn Patrol Fly-In was conducted at the Hamilton County, IN flying field in September of 2004, and again in 2005, where it officially became know as the "Hoosier Dawn Patrol". The event for 2006 will be held at the National Flying Site in Muncie, IN.
An event poster is attached to this thread, pass it on to your wingmen!
