I was planning on being at the field tonight for the first night of flight training.  I have a brand new Alpha Trainer and my AMA Info.  I have my private pilot's license and I am just getting into the r/c world.  I was just making sure that there is going to be instructor's there tonight and that I will be able to receive some instruction?  I see that the wind is around 12 mph and that the instruction is weather permitting.  Since I was not sure how much wind was to much I did not want to drive out there tonight and not have anyone there.  I also have been following this club online for awhile and I noticed that the field gets closed if it has been to wet.  So I am just making sure that the field is going to be open and an instructor is going to be there.  If someonw could just let me know if flight instruction is still on for tonight, that would be great.  Thanks

Streek,

I can't speak for the people running training....  But, I think the wind won't be an issue.  Additionally, it will usually get calmer in the evening.

Unless one of the trainers posts here otherwise, I would say go ahead and come on out tonight.

I am the chief instructor and I will be there this evening with other instructors. The reason the weather caution is there is all our potential trainees are not tuned-in to this website 24/7 so they need to know that we may not be able to operate on every given scheduled evening. In addition, the field is sometimes not in a dry enough condition for flight operations. Both the instructors and the students are somewhat at the mercy of mother nature in respect to which evenings we can fly from our facility and we must make that judgement at the time and place.
