Title: Float Fly at the Roy Wilson Farm - Sun, 6/29 @ 5pm Post by: Chuck Baker on June 16, 2008, 10:23:18 PM Roy Wilson has graciously invited us Southsiders to a Float Fly on Sunday, June 29th starting at 5pm.
Directions to Roy's farm: 1. I-70 to Greenfield, IN exit (SR#9) 2. South on SR#9 to downtown Greenfield at intersection of SR#9 & US#40 (Hancock County Courthouse). OR Washington St.(US 40) out to Greenfield, where it crosses Hwy 9 at the Courthouse. 3. East on US#40 (from SR#9) 4 miles to 600 East -- a large rural intersection with turn lanes but no light. 4. South from US#40 on 600 East for 1 mile to 100 South -- there's an electric substation in the SW corner of 600 East & 100 South. 5. East on 100 South 1 3/4 miles to 775 East "T" road that stops at 100 South. At the 775 East "T" there will be an older farm house & a new brick home. Take the westernmost blacktop driveway ( it would be 775 East if 775 East continued south) between the 2 barns and continue to the pond...the pond & gazebo are visible after you go between the barns. Roy has a grass strip next to the pond if you want to fly something that doesn't have floats. Boats are also welcome on the pond. |
