Title: LT-25 (yes 25) :)
Post by: lownslo on March 14, 2006, 09:23:28 PM
Hello Guys,  One of the other kits I have built was the LT-25. We discussed the LT-40 in the ARF and RTF forum, but I thought I would give anyone interested a look at the atributes of the LT-25.  This is a VERY easy build, and a sweetheart to fly just like it's big brother.  I built mine with almost no dihedral in the wing, which does have a 63" span.  There is very little lite ply in this kit. Even most of the formers are balsa. Before covering, I used thin CA to soak into some areas of the balsa formers to stiffen them.  This calls for a .25 to .32 two stroke engine.........and I am sure it would fly just fine with it, as the RTF weight is a little over 4 lbs.  You say you have an old .40 LA stored away like I did?  I put mine on this jewel and it was a great combo.  It was a terrific plane to fly.  I sold it and the new owner soloed soon after. It finally was destroyed.... but it happened with the 4th owner!!  ....

Nice Job Bob!  :)

I understand that the Kadet LT-25 is one of the more popular electric conversions, given its light weight construction and ample wing area.

Yes it is.  One of the members at the Eastsice Club has just that.  He did a fine job on his.  I havn't seen it fly as I was leaving the day he unloaded.  I did take time to talk with him about it and he was very happy with it's performance. ........ lownslo....

PS.  My old .40 LA was not a real powerhouse as we know them.......... but it would take my LT-25 to nearly unlimited vertical. :)
