Hi all,
We are having a Picnic and Nightfly on Saturday September 27th at our field. We are planning on having food starting around 5 and Night flying should be some time just after 8:00pm (local sunset) 'till whenever. Dinner is a pitch in as is typical for the club. We will provide the main course (usually either hamburgers and/or hotdogs but could vary) and ask that folks bring a side dish or desert to share as well as your own drinks. Families are encouraged to attend and campers are welcome. If someone wants to bring some wood we might have a campfire/bonfire as well.
The Nightfly is limited to electrics only please. The moon is just a few days from new at this point so there will be minimal issues (a full moon can almost blind you when you are flying at night and cross it... just like looking at the sun during the day). So get some glow wire, chem sticks, or just rig up some LEDs... whatever it takes and come and give it a try! Flying before sunset is encouraged as well! Hope to see you there.
Jack
