Sorry folks, but just got the word from John Gaither to cancel the April Fool's Ticket Fly.
Duane Wright reported that the field is wet and squishy - so we need to stay off of it 'til it dries.

For those that don't know, there was a tornado that came through yesterday evening near Arlington Ave and Main St near Greenwood, IN.  John suggested that those having chain saws and/or time wander down and help clean up the mess.

April Fools Ticket Fly
Saturday April 1st 
2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

This is our Opening Event for 2006.   Open to all AMA members.  Open to Non AMA members if you just want to watch.  This is a casual Ticket fly.  Every time you fly you earn a ticket.  There will be Raffle tickets and prizes at 5:00.

The Club grill will be serviced and ready to use in case you want to bring something to throw on the grill after a great day of flying with friends.

Special recognition will be given for several categories.  Please send suggestions to jgaither@comcast.net.  The categories most requested will make the list.

Obviously categories like these below (see list) will be awarded.

Best Crash
Most buddy box flights
Newest plane
Ugliest Plane

Spectators will receive a raffle ticket just for showing up.  Must be present at 5:00 to win.  (Or sooner if the weather cancels flying.)

We heard on the TV this evening that a tornado went through at the intersection of Main Street and Arlington Ave.  The report indicated that some of the surrounding buildings had been damaged.

Weather isn't as nice as the past two days but I'm still coming down just to visit and maybe a flight or two. I'll be there about 11am because I'll have to leave around 2-230pm.
