Note from Scott Black:
----------------------

Tomorrow, when its cold, windy and white with snow, the Indianapolis Admirals will be having their "Fun Run" at the Carmel High School Natatorim.  Its from noon to 4 PM.

Here's a link to information:
http://www.indyadmirals.org/docs/Winter%2008%20FunRun.pdf

and here's a map:
http://www.indyadmirals.org/docs/Natatorium%20Map.pdf

The Fun Run is a chance to see (indoors!) scale boats and ships, fast electrics, submarines and just about anything else that goes on water.  Most guys I know in the airplane world also have an interest in other facets of radio control hobbies.  So, if you do, come on out!

As an airplane guy who also does boats and cars, I can tell you that one of the nice things about building a scale R/C boat is that, short of dropping it, you will have it forever!  My lobsterboat is coming up on being 20 years old!

Hey, it was a lot of fun.  I was glad that we were able to keep models fun and of course safe.  Just like the indoor flying meets, eh Chuckles?

Unfortunately, now my 6yr old son told me he "want's to run with boats now, too".

I really need to start my own hobby store so I have a place for it all....

I agree, that was a LOT of fun, especially when the older gentlemen joined us!  Smiley
Glad to hear that your son enjoyed it as well.

So, what kind of boat are you going to get?  Wink

Check out this video that Scott Black put together of the Fun Run!
Some of the video was shot from his Lobsterboat...  Smiley

Check out this picture of Ed Hughey getting under the port side of my yellow Aquacraft Hammer boat.

Tom Cleland was driving the white Hammer.

We tried to chase Ed's boat around, but it was MUCH faster than we were!  Smiley
