Thanks Chuck, definately gonna look into that. One question, where do you put the rudder retract servo? Or do you use on at all?

I just ran a Sullivan plastic pushrod up to the front and attached it to a short piece of wire that gets inserted into the nose gear block. 

Imagine a nose gear strut with two steering arms, one driven from the servo and the other then driving the water rudder, but it's short and has no wheel.

Had a great time at the Float Fly this past Sunday afternoon.
The weather was great and the food was awesome!

Finally got to get my new Kadet LT-40 wet.
Was having engine problems, but Al Tucker loaned me a good running engine.

I've attached some pictures that I took while Al was flying.

Jack Sallade and Kelly Bogigian were the other two that flew off the water.
Jack had his 4-stroke powered Telemaster 40 and Kelly had a Cessna 177 ARF.

Didn't get a picture of either in flight, but did get some recovery pictures when Kelly's last takeoff went suddenly wrong.

The lake was a little too smooth, and the floats wanted to stick to the surface of the water on takeoff.  I'm guessing that one of Kelly's floats broke free before the other, causing it to cartwheel.

The plane survived just fine, and will fly again after some minor repairs.
