The Indianapolis Citywide Fun Fly will be hosted by Madison Co this year on Saturday, Sept 8th.

For those that don't know, this is a club versus club competition between the various Indy area clubs.
The top (5) scores from each club are totalled to determine the winner.

Gates will open at 8:00am, with a pilot's meeting at 9:30am.

See the attached flyer for more information on the event.

For directions to their field, check out their website at: www.madcorc.com

Several people have asked for directions...

It's a long way up there, over 60 miles from Greenwood - or about 1-1/2 hours, according to Google maps.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=greenwood,+in&daddr=1850+N%2FSnowhill+Rd+%4040.371280,+-85.828800&sll=40.36597,-85.82571&sspn=0.022594,0.036006&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=9&om=1

If you can't get the link to work, here are some written directions:
Take I-69 NE out of the city.
Exit onto SR 37 N towards Noblesville.
Stay on SR 37 N until just S of Elwood, IN.
Exit onto SR 13 North.
Follow SR 13 N until you reach 1850N/Snowhill Rd. and turn Right.
You should see the field on your left within a mile.

Good luck!
Chuck

Being my first time attending, I was expecting more competition. Maybe it was the weather, or the distance, but I was dissapointed by the lack of attendance from the local clubs.

We dominated, to say the least. We had 7 members there, Myself, Duane Wright, Herman Cholewinski, Brian Merrill, Al Tucker, Craig Mirowski, and Doug Gifford.

I didn't do very well, but being early in the lineup, I got a break on the second round, before the storms rolled in. The winds got bad, and some airplanes got trashed.

Indianapolis R/C South Total Score …… 1470

The Anderson Extreme Flyers scored 515 in the first round and 595 in the second TOTAL…1110

The Madison County R/C Flyers scored 415 in the first round and 180 in the second round for a 595

Ron Cox was the only representative from the Westside R/C Modelers and he totaled out at 50

Al Myers was the only representative from the Plainfield Screaming Eagles and he totaled at 120

Here's the stats and a team picture:
