Bill Rugenstein has finally convinced me that the Light Flite R/C Bug is a better indoor combat plane than the IFOs that I have been flying for years.  They are made of EPP, so they're flexible, yet they have a carbon fiber frame for stability.  The motor and servos are better protected by the profile fuselage.

I'm in the process of getting one together so I can keep up with Billy at the Anderson combat sessions!

Talked to Barb this evening.  The motor she showed you today, the FEIGAO inrunner, is not the right motor.  You're looking for the Blue 2712-12 outrunner.  I showed her what to order, so she should have some in soon.  If you need one right away, I could part with mine 'til she gets some more in.  She sells them for $19.50.

The Light Flite motor is 1100Kv, the 2712-12 is, I believe, 1200Kv. 
The 1200Kv will pull a little more current for the same size prop. 
The United Hobbies 1300Kv will need to run an even smaller prop.
The Bug seems to do better on the lower rpm motors swinging a larger prop.

As far as expo goes, I normally set mine up for 40% on high rate and 20% on low rate.
That way, they're nice and smooth around center, but still have lots of throw when needed.
Just make sure that you're putting in the right expo.  Some radios require negative expo values!
