I remember seeing a red I.F.O. flying about, but I don't remember whose it was. Anyway, if you are in need of an I.F.O. tail, please contact Chuck at - indyrcpilot@comcast.net Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on December 16, 2007, 11:59:15 AM Anyone headed to Beech Grove today? The roads were not that bad last night, but I'm not sure what they are like now since the wind has come in...
Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: Chuck Baker on December 16, 2007, 12:27:10 PM I'm planning to go.
It's on my way to work... Chuck Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on December 16, 2007, 12:41:59 PM I'm leaving now. See you there!
Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on December 16, 2007, 09:23:31 PM Here is a fun picture of Chuck's bug hanging out on the ceiling. He seems to think it's safer up there...
Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on December 16, 2007, 09:36:08 PM And and even more fun action video of Chuck's bug.... errr....actually an inaction video since he's still just hangin on the ceiling.
Click Here (http://www.indyrcsouth.org/gallery/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=0) for the video posted in the gallery of Chuck's bug. Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on December 16, 2007, 09:50:26 PM It was a lot of fun today. My Bug didn't loose too much weight, and what it did loose, it was able to recover. Thanks to Duane for finding the pieces. I also owe Bill some thanks and a new prop. The hard floor was not so forgiving to my prop and I did not bring a spare in my rush to leave the house. I did score some points tho... as I landed my Bug in the Basketball goal. I wish I had taken a picture of that as it was a good laugh had by all.
Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: Chuck Baker on December 17, 2007, 01:01:20 AM Eric,
Thanks for posting the photo and video - VERY cool!!! :) I ended up going in to work after flying and didn't get home 'til after 11pm. So, I haven't really determined how much damage was inflicted. I do seem to remember a certain red and blue striped Bug nearly taking off my landing gear. :) Chuck Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on December 18, 2007, 12:54:30 PM I do seem to remember a certain red and blue striped Bug nearly taking off my landing gear. :) Sorry about that! I'll blame that one on Klyde Morris (http://www.indyrcsouth.org/gallery/displayimage.php?album=19&pos=6)... It wasn't intentional, I'm just not that good of a pilot yet... I'm sure you'll get another chance to take some weight of my bug at the next session. Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on January 06, 2008, 11:19:47 AM I was here and no one was around. The gym was taken over by a bunch of teenagers. Was today cancelled?
Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: Chuck Baker on January 06, 2008, 01:04:40 PM I just talked to John Gaither... They're there and flying.
I'll be there in a few minutes. It doesn't start until 1pm and runs to 4pm. Chuck Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on January 06, 2008, 04:25:54 PM Arghh... I was too early. When is the next session?
Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: Chuck Baker on January 06, 2008, 05:24:14 PM I think I heard John say the 20th. You missed out on a lot of carnage.
I lost two landing gear today... :( I'll post the new dates here on the website when I hear for sure. Chuck Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: Chuck Baker on January 10, 2008, 07:04:58 PM *** Please Note - Time Change ***

Brand new to R/C helis and was wondering if people are flying helis or planes in Beech Grove. I live in BG and would love to come out and check out some flyers. I've got the 'breakin parts' down pat, just need to work on the flying part! THANKS, Lakedawgs Matt Anderson Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: gatorindy on February 19, 2008, 09:35:38 PM We should open this up to members and they can bring one guest? Thoughts? We're going in the hole a little on this. this shouldn't be a money maker but we shouldn't cost the club either.
John Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on February 20, 2008, 05:13:41 PM Finally one I can make!
I'll be there this Sunday, so you'll get my $ pitched in. We could open it up to member's guests, but would defer that decision to the more senior members. ;) Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: Chuck Baker on February 20, 2008, 10:54:12 PM HI, Brand new to R/C helis and was wondering if people are flying helis or planes in Beech Grove. THANKS, Lakedawgs Matt Anderson Hi Matt, I suppose we could let you try it out the first time as a guest, to see if you like the facility. (Unless John Gaither <gatorindy> objects) What heli(s) are you flying? Hope to see you there Sunday! Chuck Baker Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: lakedawgs on February 21, 2008, 09:26:08 AM Hello Chuck,
I was really hoping to just show up and check out the action. I was not wanting to bring my heli at this time. I will likely just stop by and say hello this weekend. I own an Esky Honey Bee Fixed Pitch, I just cannot fly it very well yet! I will be looking to join in the next month or so, need to get my AMA membership first. THANKS MUCH, Lakedawgs Matt Anderson Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: Chuck Baker on February 22, 2008, 09:58:35 PM Hello Chuck, I was really hoping to just show up and check out the action. If I'm not mistaken, the Honeybee is very similar to the Eco Piccolo that I used to have. It was a squirrely little thing, but it did fly. Have you seen the new coax choppers, like the Blade CX2? They fly MUCH better. See you Sunday! Chuck Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: bsbbutts on March 05, 2008, 06:19:27 PM Are they flying this weekend? Yes, we will be flying in Beech Grove this Sunday, from 2pm - 5pm. John Gaither is still wanting to limit it to Indy RC South members and guests. So, if you're not an Indy RC South member, get yourself invited as a guest! :) Chuck Title: Re: Indoor flying in Beech Grove (near Indy) Post by: ILv2Xlr8 on March 09, 2008, 06:14:55 PM And and even more fun action video of Chuck's bug.... errr....actually an inaction video since he's still just hangin on the ceiling.
