Where to Fly?

Indianapolis RC South lost the flying field NW of 750N and Griffith Rd on 10/28/21, after nearly 46 years, due to a new subdivision development – Grand Vista.
We have found a new location, about 1.5 miles SE of the old flying field. While we develop this new flying field, members are able to fly at the following location:

  • Johnson Co RC Flyers (JCRCF) field on Johnson County Park land, just north of  Camp Atterbury, near Edinburgh, IN. You will need current AMA to fly at this location. Be sure to review their field rules below before flying. It is just under 21 miles (27 minutes) South of our old field location. They have a 450′ long asphalt runway. There is electricity in the NW picnic shelter that is available to anyone. There is also pit area electricity, flush toilets and snacks/drinks to purchase in the club house, if a JCRCF member is there to unlock them. Dues to join this club are only $50 per year.
